Favourite current labels?
Varies from year to year as i have fads on labels for 18 months or so then find new ones and revisit old brands. At the moment in 2009, I'm still wearing a fair bit of Conte of Florence, Brooksfield, New and Lingwood, Barbour, Bjorn Borg and Daks. Might dig my old Nigel Cabourn jacket out for the winter as well!
Favourite all time label?
Hard one to call as there have been so many good brands over the years.I've worn most of them at some point but would just give the nod to the Massimo Osti based labels.
One thing in your wardrobe you could never part with?
My original pair of Borg Elites - bought them deadstock unworn a few years back and only wear them sparingly in the good weather.
Most expensive thing ever purchased?
A Prada sport dual layer three in one gore tex coat a couple of years back cost me £595, it's not the most expensive item I own but I had to pay the full whack for that! Have a CP Company explorer which retailed at £735 but only paid £330 for it, so you win some you lose some.
Biggest mistake ever bought?
I like to think I've got a good eye for nice design but, like most lads I do make the odd mistake! one that stands out is an Evisu (yes I know!!) retro track top a few years back, picked it up half price in the sale only wore it once and realised it just wasn't me, unless I was going to become an early boyband parrot head type |
